This building sat empty for many years before being restored. The before pictures were taken in 2002. The restored building is now the parsonage for The Mercer Baptist Church in Mercer, TN..

The house is directly across from The newly restored Mercer Cumberland (Ebenezer) Presbyterian Church in Mercer, TN.
This is Mr. Franklin M.McGlatherly....he was first the Station Master at Toone, Tennessee, there he met Mattie Mercer and they married. He became the Station Master in Mercer and built the first store there in 1884, they lived up over the store building. He laid the town of Mercer out and built the first house in 1888. This house has been restored and is the Mercer Baptist Church Parsonage.
