South West Madison County is mostly farm country with the primary crop being cotton, corn and soy bean.
Many fields cover hundreds of acres and are well maintained and groomed by the individuals responsible for raising the crops.

This is The Big Black Creek, It runs through Denmark and Mercer, Tennessee and was an important waterway during the Civil War.
Our historical association is named after this waterway, The Big Black Creek Historical Association.
