The Woodland Baptist Church Choir was the first to perform at the first annual "Christmas at Ebenezer" on Friday December 11, 2009 at the old Mercer Cumberland building.
The choir entertained the nearly full house with beautiful harmony and music as they performed "The Christmas Story" as arranged by Marty Parks of the church.
Thanks to The Woodland Baptist Church Choir for a very enjoyable evening.
The next choir to perform will be The Maple Springs Baptist Choir at 7:00 P.M. on Friday December 18, 2009.
There is no cost and all are welcome to come and enjoy the seasonal and inspirational sounds!
Waiting for the performance to begin.
“It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year”
Presented by the Maple Springs Choir under the direction of Bro. Steve McKown
The Maple Springs Choir musical was set in a small town square as a local church choir got ready for their annual Christmas presentation. Through the eyes of a local street vendor, several heart-felt stories were retold to communicate just what makes this annual event so special.
"Unspeakable Joy"
Performed by the Mercer Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir under the direction of David Lucius
All in attendance were treated to spiritual songs in various musical styles from traditional to jazz with the theme being the birth of Jesus, the greatest story ever told.
This was the final of the 3 choir celebration.
Thanks to all who made this 3 night worship possible and special thanks to Bill King for his idea to bring neighbors and spirit lifting music to the Ebenezer church building again.
